Gilad is a character from Legend. He is a farmer-turned-soldier and helps to defend Dros Delnoch during the siege. He hates his wife and hates his farm. There isn't enough information to decide which he hates more, but he chooses to stay at the fortress even after Regnak gives the soldiers the option to leave.
Despite his beginnings, Gilad makes it to be leader of his unit and through his work ethic, bravery and natural ability he earns the respect of those around him and goes down fighting alongside Druss in a last stand in the tunnel of Sumitos to buy the rest of the defenders time to reach Valteri.
