Gulgothir was the capital city of the Gothir nation, and the God-King's main seat of power.
Described as a marvel of architecture, the city contained many great buildings such as the Palace of the God-King, the Great Arena and the Hall of Antiquities.
Old Gulgothir referred to the older part of the city, a tightly packed area of houses, shops and workplaces centred around the Keep Palace, which had been turned into a granary.
Gulgothir was the site of the Fifth Fellowship Games in 1196, in which Druss and Klay competed.
In 1266, the city was sacked by the Nadir warlord Ulric after it refused to surrender.
